Project Mockups

These are a collection of mockups that provide a preview of how everyday design can be inspired by the seemingly mundane and human to create a shared lived experience.

Red Brick Coffee Company

This project was inspired by a faded painted advertisement on a building in small town Wisconsin. The goal was to capture the rustic simplicity of days gone in an easy to use coffee container. Handcrafted and built to last, this coffee container successfully captured the size and coloring of one of the brick on the old building, as well as the simple shapes and solid coloring that inspired the logo.

An added bonus is that the box was air tight enough that the coffee even stayed fresh!

Chi Tea

Chi Tea brings the ceremony and relaxation of a traditional Japanese Tea Ceremony to a portable option. With room inside for tea, whisk and a spoon the simplistic design supports these aesthetics.

The goal of the aesthetics for this design was simplicity and comfort. The portability means that not only is the ceremony available anywhere, but the bottom section also doubles as the tea cup itself. The finished version would snap into place, securing it’s contents while on the go.

Atomic Age

Atomic Age is a board game inspired by the society’s race to harness nuclear power during WWII. The stark empty background contrasts the colorful pegs that must come together in the exact pattern to discover the correct order of components to win the Atomic Race.

Through the creation of a board game, and all it’s moving pieces, I learned how to better wield my tools to create a package that doubled as a carrying case and the board itself. This self-contained product basically plays itself through it’s compact and exact design.

Matsu Ya

I redesigned a menu for a local sushi restaurant that I love. With this rebrand I was able to give a more upscale cover with blue vegan leather, and a new logo inspired by a traditional Japanese woodblock print style.
